SUMP-Family Support

The success of our Summer Program is in no small measure a result of active and engaged FAMILY involvement.  Thank you to all who model to our youth the love of our faith and show through our actions our thanks for God’s many blessings:  moms, dads, grandparents and high school students share their time and talent by serving as Catechists or by coordinating food donations and lunch/snack logistics.  Still others express thanks to God by helping ensure that we have the material, as well as financial, resources to carry on spreading the Word of Jesus to those students here at St. Agnes.
Thank you.

Stewardship:  What does our program need?  How can I help?

Catechist  -  Group Leaders needed to implement daily 8 AM to 1 PM Lesson plans for a group of a dozen children.   Kid-friendly and active in the practice of their Catholic Faith.
All volunteers are subject to a Background Screening (CORI) and Protecting God’s Children Training (2 hour long safe environment program before start of program).

Coordinators - We have 3 identified areas.  Coordinators have a broad range of autonomy within their Service area.
1) Lunch/Snack Coordinator - Recruits Lunch Monitors for Their Grade Level week, Manages Food Donations for Daily Snacks, Clean Up and Set Up for Snack & Lunch Time
2) Social Justice Coordinator - Reaches out to Saint Agnes Ministries and local Community Non- profit organizations to develop and implement daily social justice projects.
3) Supply Coordinator - Ensures that all classes are in appropriate condition following each day’s session; supplies needed for upcoming sessions are available.

Facilities Clean Up -
- Daily (Monday through Friday) - Empty Trash at end of every day.
- End of Week (Friday) - Sweep classrooms, clean tables and dry erase boards.

Supply Donations:  Famiilies are always quite generous in dropping off stationery supplies (e.g. paper, pens/pencils, tape, etc.)  New this year we are asking families to make their supply donation via a STAPLES GIFT CARDS, this will allow us to purchase what we need at the time we need it.

Financial Donations:  In-Kind donations to help defray the costs of providing the program and expanding/enhancing our Resource libraries and materials.   Donations also help fund scholarships for families with financial need considerations.
Financial donations can be dropped off to the Parish Office.  You also have the option to donate through our online giving program.
